I built a shelf for the throttle potentiometer. I considered many ways to mount this. I finally ditched the stock mounting bracket and fabricated my own. I think I should add a return spring too.
This is a 5 kOhm Curtis throttle potentiometer. It physically connects to the throttle cable and electrically connects to the controller. When the "gas" pedal is pressed, it moves the arm of the potentiometer. The controller will read the change is resistance. This is analogous to a volume slider.
