Mike Rollins with Green Cycle Design Group put together one 36V to 12V and one 24V to 12V DC-to-DC convertor to meet the Shell Oil regulations. Many teams hide a small 12V battery because they couldn’t find this type of device. Most of the components were recycled from old PC’s. Several teams came over and inquired where to get this device. This was enclosed in an old computer power supply box. The 12 Volt supply operated the brake lights, turn signals, horn and cooling fan.
