I will not be able to use my old RPM sensor with the new motor. After I actually see the new motor, I will design a new RPM sensor.
My old sensor delivered two pulses per revolution. The new sensor may deliver more than two. I now use the PICKit3 and the In-Circuit Serial Programming feature to program the microcontroller. So, I re-wired a couple of the LEDs and added a programming cable. This facilitates quick reprogramming using an RJ11 connection under the dashboard.
